Going back to that CPME annual report…
The report is now submitted through an online form, rather than filling out a word document and compiling a cover letter. The process was fairly straight-forward so I have to give CPME kudos for joining us in the 21st century.
Between me and you, the annual report always takes me so much longer than I expect it will. I spend too much time triple checking all my data because I know what a pain it is to go through the CPME probation process.
One thing I learned a few years ago that does save me some time is to make sure I complile all the stats I'll need for the report – dates, event title, # of attendees, # of faculty, # of CECH, registration cost, commercial support, and the final program – immediately after the event ends.
If your organization only had one event in 2025, it's easy peasy. But, one of my clients had 9 education activities in 2025! Some were in-person, some were online, and one was a joint provider event.
My control freak nature certainly complicated the process. Hope it goes smoothly for you!
