“Whenever you see me somewhere succeeding in one area of my life, that almost certainly means I am failing in another area of my life.” – Shonda Rhimes
Last weekend, I attended the South Carolina state convention for the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs, representing my local club.
While there, I had the honor of being confirmed as the Director-elect of Junior Clubs for our state.
It’s a role I’m incredibly proud of. And one that joins a long list of responsibilities many women carry every day. I didn’t stop doing one thing so I could start doing this thing. I’ll do it all.

Behind so many businesses, organizations, and communities are women who are also:
Mothers
Caregivers
Volunteers
Spouses
Leaders
Grandmothers
House managers
Philanthropists
And often the ones quietly holding everything together behind the scenes.
Companies, communities, and organizations built and sustained by women who are balancing multiple roles at once, with very little room for error.
I’m grateful to be part of a community and industry of women who continue to show up, lead, and support one another through it all.
If you have a woman like this in your life – wife, bestie, colleague, daughter, neighbor – take a second to thank her for everything she does that no one ever sees.
