Way way back in November 2024, APMA CEO/Executive Director, Meghan McClelland, was a guest on episode 174 of the Dean's Chat podcast with Dr. Jeffrey Jensen and Dr. Johanna Richey.
One statement stood out to me and I recently received permission to share it in my newsletter.
Meghan quoted one of the APMA board members and said, “I want to make sure we're putting podiatry first…” She went on to say, “If we're all doing the right thing for podiatry, it will fall into place.”
It's so true. And it applies to more than just podiatry, of course.
If I'm doing right by my audience and sponsors
If I'm doing right by my kids
If I'm doing right by my patients
If I'm doing right by my customers
If I'm doing right by my family
Sure, sometimes it's exhausting to do right. Especially at times when the shady, dishonest, destructive people get their way.
But I'm playing the long game.
I'm not here to charge more just because I can, I'm not here to get ahead by talking trash, I'm not here to go easy on my kids because I want to be their friend, I'm not here to sugarcoat the truth when asked, I'm not here to clean up after everyone (OK, maybe I am doing that one because I'm a mom and a dog mom). You get the point.
It will all fall into place.
aka Karma.
