I recently listened to a podcast episode with Amy Porterfield interviewing Mel Robbins about her new book, “The Let Them Theory.” (Online Marketing Made Easy podcast episode #744) In addition to reminding me that I need to read this book immediately, the part that really spoke to me was when Mel Robbins talked about her personal revelations after being invited to discuss the book with Oprah. Here’s what I took away from hearing this:
We’ve all been there—spinning our wheels, convinced we’re “stuck,” overwhelmed, and frustrated that things aren’t clicking the way we want. But here’s the hard truth: you’re not actually stuck. You’re just resisting the lesson that life – or business – is trying to teach you before you can level up.
“Saying you’re stuck is actually the wrong word—you’re in tension and frustration, and that’s exactly what will push you toward your breakthrough.” -Mel Robbins
Real growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones. It happens when we stop avoiding the uncomfortable work, face the friction head-on, and finally take responsibility for what we know we need to do. That tension you’re feeling? It’s not a roadblock—it’s a catalyst.
📌 “You’re not meant to be where you want to be yet because there’s a lesson you haven’t taken seriously.”
Moral of the story? If you feel like you’re hitting a wall, stop looking at it as a dead end. It’s actually the push you need to break through—but only if you stop resisting and start doing the work.
