This was a great meeting in many ways for me. In regards to the presenting speakers…..Drs. Mcglamry, Carter, Carpenter, Stapp and Roman for their frank discussions of their difficult cases… solutions and advice. Dr. Bass held a very informative workshop on biopsies and Dr. Filliatrault’s discussion of the lesser complex but important procedures of the great toe were great…also to listen to a “legend” speak..a first for me…Dr. Mahan….and last but not least the icing on the cake for me were the unique and very much interesting topics of the two Special Guest Speakers Dr. Moon and the incredible Dr. Lewis Freed….whom I hope will both be invited back again to Little Rock at its next meeting.

Just a general beef for me….. Podiatry as compared to other medical professions…ie…Allopathic medicine… Osteopathic…dentistry….etc…seems to have much higher fees for meetings, association membership dues and state licenses. Why is that so? This meeting was definitely worth the money spent…..but I can’t say that for several I’ve been to before especially those that were in concert with the Texas Podiatric Medical Association in Dallas and Houston.

This Hotel was excellent….easy to get to…provided close up free parking…free wifi internet around the hotel even if you were not a guest there….and meeting rooms were good size with good layout. Breakfast was excellent. Overall…Much better than 2 years ago in downtown L.R.
